Private care and counsel across Berlin

Care that listens.
Counsel that holds.

We stay close to the people we look after — with more than 15 years of experience in care, counsel and companionship in Berlin.

Hourly support at home, round-the-clock shift care, care and inclusion counselling: we bring calm and professional judgement to where people need it — at home, in familiar surroundings, with you. Our team works in English throughout.

What we offer

Six ways to be close.

We look after private clients in their own homes. Some need only a few hours a week, others continuous companionship — and some, at first, simply a good conversation.

I.

Round-the-clock care

Continuous care and companionship in your own home, on a rotating-shift model. With a small, permanent team — so that trust has room to grow.

II.

Everyday support

Help with daily life by the hour — shopping, medical appointments, walks, company. Booked flexibly, from a single hour to a full day.

III.

Respite care (Verhinderungspflege)

For when a family carer needs time away — a holiday, an illness, or simply room to breathe. We take over, reliably.

IV.

Travel companionship

Accompanied travel for people who need care — a health cure, a visit to family, a holiday. In cooperation with our partner association Leben Pflegen Reisen e.V.

V.

Care advice

Independent advice on care levels (Pflegegrade), benefit entitlements and funding. We help you find your way through the system — clearly, and without being rushed.

VI.

Inclusion advice

Drawn from many years of practice in participation and assistance: advice on participation benefits, assistive equipment and personal assistance — for people with disabilities and their families.

Standards & safeguards

What you can rely on.

Good care begins with the question of who enters your home — and on what terms. We settle that cleanly, verifiably and without grey areas.

100 % directly employed

Every member of staff is employed by us with full social insurance — no rotating freelancers, no grey market.

Enhanced background check

Every carer presents an enhanced police background certificate before entering your home.

German and English, fluently

Our carers speak native-level German, and English-speaking care is available throughout — from the first call to daily companionship.

Consistent, familiar faces

A small, settled team: two to four familiar faces per client instead of a different carer every day.

24/7 — lawful rotating shifts

Round-the-clock care delivered by a lawful rotating shift team, not as a grey-market live-in arrangement.

How it works

Three steps, no rush.

I

Getting to know you

A first conversation — by phone or at your home. We listen and establish what is genuinely needed.

II

Planning

Together we draw up a care and companionship plan that fits — flexible and adjustable at any time.

III

Companionship

A small, settled team accompanies you, with regular contact and one person always available to you.

And afterwards you stay informed: your family portal for relatives →

For relatives

Your family portal — always informed, without having to ask.

Care concerns the whole family. In your protected family portal you can see at any time who is there and when, what is being billed and what has been documented — in one place, included for every client.

Schedules

Who is coming, and when? Your relative’s current care schedule — visible at any time, always up to date.

Invoices

Every invoice in one clear place, itemised transparently and available whenever you need it.

Documentation

What happened? The care record — traceable for authorised relatives, close to your loved one’s daily life.

Protected, encrypted access — for authorised relatives only. We set it up individually for your family.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask beforehand.

  • What sets Heilpraxis Frommholz apart from other care services?
We work on a private-pay basis only — we do not bill the statutory long-term care insurance (Pflegekasse). That allows us to offer one-to-one care in genuine blocks of hours rather than fifteen-minute rounds. Our team is small and permanent, so clients see the same familiar faces throughout. Our owner, Simeon Frommholz, is a Heilpraktiker (a non-medical practitioner licensed under German law) — which means certain services can also be billed as Heilpraktiker services.
  • Do you bill the statutory long-term care insurance?
No. We are a purely private-pay care service. You are welcome to put any care allowance (Pflegegeld) you already receive towards our invoice — that is entirely your decision. We do not bill the Pflegekasse directly for benefits in kind (Sachleistungen).
  • How quickly can you start?
For urgent requests (bedside companions, night care) often the same day, or within 24 to 48 hours. For longer engagements (round-the-clock care, bridging the wait for a care-home place) we usually need five to ten days’ notice.
  • Which parts of the city do you cover?
Our main areas are Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Steglitz-Zehlendorf and Mitte — but with our office in Moabit (Stephanstraße 46) we work across the whole of Berlin.
  • What does one-to-one care cost with you?
We do not quote flat rates, because situations differ so widely — the level of need, the qualifications required, the time of day and the setting all go into the calculation. In a free initial consultation we listen first, then put a written proposal to you with a binding price. You decide in your own time.
  • Who are the people who work for you?
State-registered nurses, qualified nursing assistants, social pedagogues and care workers with many years of experience. Everyone on our team is directly employed by us under a contract with full social-insurance contributions, speaks German as a native language (or at C1 level at minimum) and has provided an extended criminal record certificate.
  • Do you also offer round-the-clock care?
Yes — but as a lawful rotating-shift arrangement with four to six people in a fixed team, not as a single person living in the house 24/7. That makes our care somewhat more expensive than grey-market offerings, but it is legally sound and fully compliant with employment law.
  • How is the first conversation arranged?
Free, without obligation, and around 60 to 90 minutes long. At your home or by telephone, whichever you prefer. We listen first, then put a written proposal to you with a specific price. You decide in your own time.
