Round-the-clock care in a 200-square-metre villa works differently from care in a 60-square-metre flat. Several floors, long distances, often large gardens — all of that has to be thought through in advance.

Lives with a great deal in them:

Someone growing old in a Westend house usually has a long life behind them, held in the furniture, the pictures, the books. Our staff are practised at working with such biographies.

Household staff and carers together:

Many Westend families have employed housekeepers and gardeners for decades. When we join, we have to fit into those arrangements.

Dying well:

Someone who has grown old in a Westend house often wants to die there too. We accompany people through that in these houses — with everything it takes, from hospice care to the last day.

• DRK Kliniken Berlin Westend — 5 minutes from many Westend addresses.
• Schlosspark-Klinik (Charlottenburg) — 10 minutes.
• Vivantes Klinikum Spandau — 12 minutes.

Through Charlottenburg to the Westend — about 18 to 22 minutes, depending on the time of day. We plan the journey in advance so that we arrive on time.

Frequently asked questions

• We have a very large house. Do we need more staff?

  Not necessarily. One person per shift can look after a large house, provided the person needing care is settled in a manageable part of it. Where someone is very mobile (dementia, a tendency to wander), working with two people can make sense.
• Can care take place on the terrace or in the garden?

  In summer, gladly. Our staff are flexible about it.
• How discreetly do your staff arrive?

  In their own cars (no care-service branding), in plain clothes, at agreed times. For particularly sensitive clients we agree the approach and parking in advance.
